Traveling is fun! It is a time to explore the world outside of your boundaries and meet new friends. But there are times that you should definitely NOT travel.

You should not use travel to hide from problems because problems return. Sometimes they return in different cultures and people, but they always reappear. Life has a funny way or remaining you of things you are trying to forget.
Don’t Travel Because You Want to Save People
You are not their savior. Just because you think you know better doesn’t mean you do. You need to realize that the people you are visiting have just as valuable life as you do. Barbie Savior is a hilarious Instagram account that shows the danger of this mentality.
Don’t Travel for the Picture
Focusing too much on photos can lead to a large disconnect between you and your surroundings. Yes, pictures are amazing but it is also important to view the sunset outside of the lens.
Don’t Travel for the Noise to Distract Yourself
Some people travel as a way to keep themselves busy. Doing this allows them to avoid dealing with or acknowledging things going on inside. You should be comfortable alone with yourself and use travel as a way to grow. Using travel as a coping mechanism to avoid dealing with yourself is a recipe for disaster. Don’t Plan Your Next Trip in the Center of Your Current Trip
Going on a trip will always inspire you to go on another trip. Planning a trip while still in another takes you out of the moment and leads you to distractions. Stay present, stay focused.

Sometimes the most important growth comes from being uncomfortable. If you are not willing to be put out of your comfort zone you are not allowing yourself the opportunities that the universe is providing you.
