About Us

Greetings!

We are Aaron and Emily. We are so thrilled that you have taken the time to take a peak at our blog! We both graduated from Illinois State University. Aaron got his degree in business administration and Emily got her undergraduate in anthropology, nutrition , and a Masters in economics and community development. We met in a gender inclusive honors fraternity were we became best friends and eventually began dating.

We decided to create this blog not only to documents our past and future adventures, but also to help you, the reader, find the best way to have your own adventure! We want people to be able to have amazing experiences and will use this blog to provide ideas, tips, tricks, plans, itineraries, and ways that we save money on these trips! To give you an idea of the type of people we are (and why we are passionate about getting others to start adventuring) here is some of what we have done together in the three years we have been together.

-Canoed down a river in Florida camping on the beaches and swimming with manatees
-Laid in the middle of the only highway in America that does not allow cars
-Camped 50 feet in the air hanging from a redwood tree in California
-Spent three months living and working on a farm on Oahu
-Tubed through an abandoned water irrigation system on Kauai
Watched the music note drop on New Years in Nashville
– Took shots with the owner and head chef of a world renowned restaurant
-Scuba dived in the second largest reef in the world
-Climbed an Aztec pyramid
-Saw the world’s largest artichoke
-Lost a combined 75 lbs
-Ran a half dozen 5ks
And now currently we are serving as Peace Corps volunteers in Ukraine working as Community and Economic Development Volunteers.

So come follow two travelers just trying to make sense of this amazing thing called life!
