Well, here we go. The first blog post.
We have been trying to decide if we should write a blog for the past year and it finally feels like the right time. If you took the time to read our About Us page, you already know the basics about us and who we are. But, it doesn’t really go into too much detail. So let’s start with the basics, shall we?
Who The Hell Are You Guys?
Well, we are currently Peace Corps volunteers serving in Ukraine as Community and Economic Development volunteers. Emily is working with an organization that focuses on clean energy and sustainability. Aaron works with a collaborative and educational workspace for civil society members. We love to run, cook, make fun of each other, imitate animals, and watching Bob’s Burgers.
Wait…In Ukraine? Isn’t that Russia? Do you live in an igloo?
Once upon a time, yes. But since the early 90s it has been an independent country. I live in a nice house on the outskirts of town with a washing machine, a shower, drinkable tap water, and constant electricity. It 85 degrees here right now. Where do you think Ukraine is, anyway?
You know, whoever you are, you are getting a little rude with me. Why should I continue reading your stupid blog anyway?
Well, you don’t have to if you don’t wanna. BUT, we are pretty funny and cool and know fun stuff to do. So you should. It’ll be a good time, and maybe you will learn some cool stuff along the way.
Okay…maybe I will keep reading. But give me a interesting fact about you both so I know you are cool.
Back in the States Aaron has a pet guinea pig who is hairless (Yes that is a real thing) his name is Oscar. Emily’s interesting fact would probably be that she hot air ballooned in Cappadocia, Turkey.
And honestly if a hairless guinea pig and hot air balloon rides didn’t convince you to keep reading, what will?
